Air Conditioners in Tamale: Room Size & Energy Questions

Describe the room accurately

Measure the room, note ceiling height, windows, sun exposure and the number of people usually inside. Cooling requirements are affected by several factors, so nominal horsepower alone should not determine the choice.

Check the installation situation

Ask where the indoor and outdoor units could go, and check the manufacturer’s clearance and drainage requirements. Installation should be assessed by a qualified installer. Do not assume installation services are included in the product price.

Understand model-specific efficiency

Ask about the efficiency rating and electrical specifications of the exact model. Running cost depends on usage, thermostat settings, insulation, room conditions and electricity tariffs.

Compare controls and comfort features

Consider noise, timer controls, airflow direction, filter access and other features you will actually use. Confirm whether remote controls or other accessories are included.

Plan for after-sales care

Discuss filter cleaning, scheduled maintenance and warranty terms for the specific model, including what installation conditions or exclusions may apply. Confirm availability and price with the shop.

Questions to ask before buying

What air conditioner size fits my room?

The answer depends on more than floor area. Share room measurements, window exposure and intended use, and confirm sizing with a qualified installer.

Does the price include installation?

Do not assume it does. Ask the shop to confirm what is included for the exact model and whether installation must be arranged separately.
