Buying a TV in Tamale: Screen Size, Smart Features & Warranty

Start with your room and seating

Measure the distance from your normal seating position and the space where the screen will sit. A screen that looks impressive in a showroom may feel too large or too small at home. Decide whether you need a stand or a wall mounting arrangement before comparing models.

Check how you will watch

Think about free-to-air channels, streaming, football, games and downloaded videos. Ask which smart-TV platform and apps are supported on the particular model; support can vary by model and change over time.

Count your connections

List the devices you use: decoder, game console, soundbar or USB drive. Check HDMI ports, wireless connectivity, audio outputs and whether a compatible internet connection is required for the features you want.

Compare the complete cost

Ask for the exact model number, current price, accessories included, transport or mounting arrangements where relevant, and electricity requirements. Do not compare screens on size alone.

Discuss warranty and any old TV

Have the shop explain the warranty for the specific brand and model, including exclusions and how to request help. If you have an older TV, describe its age, condition and faults; trade-in assessment and acceptance are not guaranteed.

Questions to ask before buying

What should I bring when enquiring about a TV?

Your room measurements, approximate viewing distance, preferred screen size, budget and a list of devices you plan to connect.

Can I trade in a TV?

You can ask us to assess whether a trade-in enquiry is possible. Share the brand, screen size, age, condition and photos. Acceptance and value are not guaranteed.
